The Progzilla Files Episode 44 | Thursday Afternoon

Brian Peter George St. John le Baptiste de la Salle Eno. Genius. In my eyes, everything he touches turns to gold. Even U2 are almost bearable. Maybe not.

A pioneering experimental musician, composer, record producer, singer and visual artist, I first heard Eno’s ambient music at college in 1984-1986.

At just one track of 60 minutes in length, his 1985 composition Thursday Afternoon is beatless, flowing and ethereal: a video soundtrack that is peaceful and fulfilling.
